Latest Cornerstone Campaign Progress
As you may remember, the Cornerstone Campaign launched in 2018 with the goal of putting a new roof on our beautiful building, and then making repairs and upgrades to the sanctuary interior. With thanks to Jesus, the generosity of our congregation and the church Trust, we met our first goal, and installed a new roof in 2019.
In 2020, the Cornerstone Campaign committee paused fundraising efforts to complete the sanctuary work. This was out of respect for the many trials and hardships faced by our congregation. It is still our goal to upgrade and repair the sanctuary plaster, paint, carpet and lighting, and to replace the front steps and hand rail.
Throughout 2021, the committee will provide updates on costs and fundraising progress. We will unveil the sanctuary plans this summer, and we still hope to raise the remaining funds this year. We are in the home stretch!
- The current project timeline is unknown, as we require new quotes from contractors. We are estimating project completion in summer 2022. Based on recent numbers and estimated inflation, the sanctuary upgrades and repairs will likely be just over $600,000.
- With the Trust match, the campaign is currently $175,000 short of its goal.
- If it is on your heart to give, please contact Kim Blount, Brent Hanson or the church office to discuss your options for making a contribution.
As always, our prayer is that you will first support the General Fund. If you are able to give to the Cornerstone Campaign, that is an “above and beyond” gift we continue to ask that you’d prayerfully consider. Regardless of your ability to give, we ask that you would support this project through prayer.
