Sunday Mornings
There are a lot of opportunities to serve the local church family on Sunday mornings! If you are interested in serving in any of these areas, please contact Steve Eyerman or Jillian Pruitt in the office by calling or emailing them! Steve Eyerman creates the schedule for these positions which is then posted in the weekly bulletin and in the monthly newsletter!
Ushers
As an usher, you will greet people as they enter the service on Sunday mornings for the Traditional Service (8:30am) and will be responsible for passing the offering plate during the offering.
Greeters/Hosts
During both the Traditional and Contemporary service, greeters or hosts are responsible for welcoming people as they enter for worship and passing out bulletins!
Projectionists
Every Sunday morning, we use a PowerPoint presentation to help guide the congregation through the service! As the projectionist, you will simply be responsible for following the order of service and progressing the slides during the service. You can choose to volunteer as the projectionist for the Traditional Service or the Contemporary Service. You do not necessarily have to be available for both services.
Lay Reader
Each Sunday, there is a time in the Traditional service for Scripture Readings. As the lay reader, you will read aloud the Old Testament and New Testament readings for the congregation. Jillian (Administrative Assistant) will prepare a printed copy of the readings and email that to you early in the week, and there will be a printed copy available for you on the lectern on Sunday morning.
Sound Tech Operators
Are you skilled with managing a sound board? Even if you are not, but are interested in learning, you could operate the sound board for the service on Sunday mornings! As a sound tech operator, you will be responsible for managing the volume of the different microphones being used throughout the service. You can choose to be a sound tech operator for the Traditional or the Contemporary service. If you choose to volunteer for the Contemporary service, because you will be operating the sound board for the Worship Band, it is helpful to be available on Saturday mornings to attend the Worship Band practice.
Steeple Bell Ringers
The ringing of the steeple bells before each service is a long-held tradition that we love to incorporate in our services. As the bell ringer, you will be responsible for ringing the bells at the appropriate time before the service begins!
Children’s Church Teacher
Do you love children and desire to teach them about Jesus and His Word? You can do just that during Children’s Church on Sunday mornings during the service! For more information about this service opportunity, contact Kate Ruffini (Children’s Ministry Director)!
